There are a couple of little tricks to working efficiently with transparentmaterials and cinema 4D.In this video,were going to focus on techniques to simulate glass and plastic materials.Now, if you havent followed along from the previous video,let me just get you up to speed with our project.I have a floor object which has no material applied.I have a sphere which has this highly reflective metallic kind of material.And then I have a sky object which is whats actually being reflected in oursphere material.And then finally we have a light object which iscasting a shadow map onto our lets actually start by double-clicking on our metallic material andgoing to the transparency channel.Under Transparency, I just want you to go ahead and enable that.Once you enable it, notice the object is completely transparent.Thats because there is no light actually bending through it.Its literally transparent.The only thing that you can see are just the specular highlights thatare created based on this light that weve added into the scene.
